The Valley Economic Development Center (VEDC) and FAME Assistance Corporation have been selected by Wachovia to implement an innovative initiative designed to help California based women and minority owned businesses. The Minority Business Growth Initiative-Small Business Component (MBGI-SBC) is part of Wachovia’s $150 billion, ten-year community plan for California. As a result of the Initiative over 1,000 small, minority and women owned businesses will receive direct assistance annually via a three prong initiative component: Business – Build, Connect, Grow 100.
